That’s not what changing the dynamics and mechanics of our policing system is about. Cursory research shows a rudimentary outline of what it really means. Don’t get hung up on the semantics.

It is not a removal of police forces. What it actually constitutes is a restructuring of existing police states,  a reallocating of resources to social service programs and educational funds to disadvantaged populations, a wider array of more specific civilian supports like addiction counselors and social workers, behavioral interventionists, street outreach assessors, community liaisons, teachers and mentors and volunteer organizations designed to address community problems with options other than the heavy hand of police intervention.
