I really, really wanted to avoid any chat about the goddamned Second Amendment in this chronicle.

I really did.

I know what a hot spot it is for America, more than gay marriage, more than abortion, more than just about anything.

But a chronicle of latter day Pax Americana would be incomplete without touching upon it. More than that, too much fuckery happened regarding armed incidents throughout America during that time period whose horse I’m so thoroughly beating here, and so I’m forced to address it at least in a cursory manner. But yes, it’s gonna be behind the paywall. Sorry. Not sorry.
